ALL YOU NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT BEING A LEADER IN LLANISHEN AND LISVANE SCOUT GROUP............ BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK!

  • Make a difference in young peoples' lives.
  • Make friends through Scouting.
  • Try out new skills and have fun!
  • No experience is necessary.
  • All training will be given.
  • May enhance your job prospects!

The Leaders in the sections of the Scout Group are a friendly and dedicated bunch of hardworking volunteers who wish to provide Scouting activities for our young people.

Before working with the young people, the Leaders are fully vetted by the Scouting Association, which includes a CRB check and two references.  They all take part in a training programme and are regularly appraised in their role.

The Leaders run the Scouting Programme with the help of Section assistants, Young Leaders and Parents.  The Young Leaders are a valuable part of the Leadership Team.  They are 14-18 year olds who are Explorer Scouts and may be completing the service part of the Duke of Edinburgh award.  They attend a training scheme run by the District comprising eleven modules on relevant topics.  This is a great scheme for our Young Leaders who gain confidence when helping with children and liaising with the adult Leaders and parents

We are always in need of new Leaders!  If you feel that you would like to join our Leadership Team, get in touch.
